Safer and Supportive Salisbury Trustees have been out and about at public events this summer, connecting with the community, and spreading the word about our work.

At People in the Park in May, although the weather forecast was not promising, the day turned out better than expected and in the afternoon as the sunshine improved, the event became very lively and busy. We had positive interest from many people who had not heard of us and we were able to tell them more about what we do. We also saw a number of Network members and it was good to catch them up with our news.

At the Salisbury Hospice Fair in August, Irene sold her jams, chutneys and marmalades which helped to increase footfall on the stall. We were able to tell lots of people about our Thriving on a Shoestring Showcase.

We had a detailed conversations with our local MP John Glen who stayed on the stall a while as well as well the Mayor and Mayoress (pictured right with Trustees Irene and Anne).
