There was lots to celebrate at 59 Catherine Street when Safer and Supportive Salisbury officially moved in to the premises. Having achieved charitable status in October of 2023, SaSS has now become the official tenant of 59, working alongside The Pantry, who will continue to operate from there on Tuesdays.  Another exciting piece of news is SaSS’s successful bid to the Communities Fund of the National Lottery which will enable them to continue and to broaden their work to support the residents of Salisbury and the local area who are in need by   reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other social or economic disadvantage

Salisbury Mayor Cllr Sven Hocking congratulated Safer and Supportive Salisbury on their success. He said: “The funding from the Lottery, the community hub here in Catherine Street and your status as a new charity will all help hugely in making Salisbury work better together. Congratulations and thank you for all you do. I speak for all members of the City Council when I say we look forward to continuing to work together with you in a positive way for Salisbury.”
