Men Matters 2026

After the success of the Men Matters showcase last September where over 200 men and 40 organisations shared advice and information to support men’s mental health, Safer and Supportive Salisbury would like to invite you to Men Matters 2026!

It is free to attend and is part of the Safer and Supportive Salisbury showcase initiative that brings together local groups, organisations and support services so our  community can meet and find out what is on offer to support their health and wellbeing.

This year we plan to hold the event on World Mental Health Day on Saturday October 10. We will be supported once again by Salisbury City Hall where the event will be hosted.  It is a friendly drop in event with free refreshments available to everyone.

Whilst the showcase will be targeted to support men’s mental health as before, this year it will also be a space where female friends, partners and family members are welcome to attend to support or benefit from the information on offer.  We plan the same wide-ranging selection of information, advice and social opportunities in a relaxed environment. There will be handouts with contact details for anyone that would like to take information away to look at in their own time.

Check back in to this page nearer the event to see a full list of the stands and a programme of live entertainment but you can expect to have information on: starting exercise, stopping smoking, men’s sexual health, gambling support, money worries, peer support groups, coping with caring responsibilities, friendship and social opportunities, local volunteering, veterans’ groups, talking therapies, youth support and much more.
