In a ceremony at County Hall in Trowbridge, on Monday 12 April, Anne Trevett, the Chair of Safer and Supportive Salisbury, was presented with the British Empire Medal by Mrs Sarah Rose Troughton, the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire. Her award was announced in the 2021 New Year’s Honours list for her longterm service to the local community in Lower Bemerton and especially for her work in supporting the Salisbury community during the pandemic.
Anne said: “I am pleased and honoured to be recognised in this way. Working with Safer and Supportive Salisbury and Lower Bemerton is very much a team effort, and we are pleased that we have been able to make a positive difference to local people through this difficult past twelve months.”
