Mental Health Showcase

Salisbury Guildhall, Market Square, Salisbury

At our Mental Heath Showcase on Tuesday 5 April there was a wide range of information on more than 25  stalls as well as participative activities. It was clear that many people agreed with us that emerging from the pandemic has brought many mental health issues to the fore – affecting all of us in some way.

There were offers of specialist help, exercises, crafts as well as coffee and conversation,  lots for Salisbury people to try. Many local people took the opportunity to find out about Camerados, a new kind of friendship group that there are plans to start in the city.

We were delighted to be joined by our brand new High Sheriff of Wiltshire, The Marchioness of Lansdowne, as well as the Mayor of Salisbury Cllr Caroline Corbin and her consort Tom Corbin. In their welcomes, both the High Sheriff and our Mayor commented on how important it was to bring community groups together to network and to connect with local people after so many months of enforced isolation and loneliness and all the mental health issues that has caused.

We are sharing a really useful list of Autism Services which has been shared with us as part of the Showcase event. Autism Showcase list of organisations and services around Salisbury March 2022
